New York Mets – Citi Field
We visited Citi Field in 2013 to see the Mets play the Nationals. This game was a once in a lifetime experience for us because we were given tickets by a company we do business with. We knew we had good seats, but we weren’t prepared for just how good.

From Grand Central Station, we took the 7 train to Mets-Willets Point. It took around half an hour to get there and the stop was just steps away from the stadium. It was very convenient and we liked looking around Grand Central Station.

We arrived early to the game and our tickets allowed us access to The Delta Sky 360 Club. The Delta Sky 360 Club is a restaurant-cafe-bar-lounge complex so we had a good meal and relaxed in the comfortable seating. Our favorite part of the Club was the area where you could look down and see players warming up in the batting cage. It was so cool!

We got to our seats and couldn’t believe we were sitting right behind the Mets’ dugout!

We were sitting right where players enter and exit the field from the dugout so players kept throwing balls to Logan. It was amazing!

Citi Field has a really cool area for kids called Kiddie Field located on the concourse level. Kiddie Field has a batting cage, dunk tank, video game kiosks and a scale replica of the field. Logan loved this area!

We had in-seat service for food and drinks. We actually were shown on the jumbotron within five minutes of getting to our seats!

We go to a lot of baseball games and sit any number of places in the stadium, but seeing a game from the front row behind the dugout was a dream come true for us.

Because of where we were sitting, players, coaches and the batboy kept throwing balls to Logan. He got so many balls thrown to him that people around us were starting to get mad so Logan shared the baseballs with other kids. He even had one of the balls signed, but I forgot the player’s name.

We had some rain during the game, but not enough to stop the game. The Nationals won, but we honestly didn’t care because we had so much fun just being there.

As I said, sitting front row is not typical for us when we go to a game, but oh what fun! Citi Field was impressive, the people were great, and the Kiddie Field was so much fun. Great job, Mets!
