Salt Lake City
Day 9 on our national park road trip out west was about a 5 hour drive from Bryce Canyon to Salt Lake City. It was a beautiful drive.

We stayed at the beautiful Radisson Hotel downtown on West South Temple Street.

After checking into the hotel, Tom and I made a short walk to Temple Square to do some sightseeing. Our first stop was the Tabernacle. We went inside and looked around.

There was a lot of construction going on in Temple Square and it was kind of tough to get around, but we made our way to the Salt Lake Temple.

Next we went to the Conference Center, which was gigantic. This building is used for Latter-day Saints from all over the world to attend the semiannual general conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The auditorium seats 21,000.

We were able to go to the roof of the Conference Center where we had beautiful views of the city.

We checked out the Family History Library.

Next we checked out the Church History Museum.

It was a hot day and we were getting tired so we got an Uber and went to Trader Joe’s. From there we walked about a block to have dinner at Ruby River Steakhouse. We had a nice steak dinner at Ruby River and then took an Uber back to the hotel.

While Tom and I were sightseeing in Temple Square, Logan and Lindsay rented electric scooters and did some sightseeing of their own. They spent some time at the City Creek Center, which is an open-air shopping center near Temple Square.

In the evening we went to Heber Hatchets for some fun axe throwing.

The next morning it was time to head on to our next destination, Jackson, Wyoming. On the way out of Salt Lake City, we went to see the Great Salt Lake. We had a great time in Salt Lake City.
